The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the project for the replacement of Bridge No. 01915 carrying S.R. 616 (Norwich Avenue) over Gillette Brook in the Town of Lebanon will begin Monday, May 13, 2013. 

The project consists of the replacement of the bridge with a reinforced cast-in-place concrete slab supported by abutments, and the construction of concrete end walls at all four corners of the bridge.

Road work includes a bituminous concrete overlay at the bridge and at the bridge approaches, minor drainage improvements, and the installation of metal beam railing at the approaches to the bridge.

DOT Project no. 0070-0115 was awarded to Mattern Construction Incorporated of Baltic, Connecticut at a cost of $898,513.49 on April 9, 2013 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2014.
