Rehabilitation of Bridge Carrying Lockwood Lane over Interstate 95 in Greenwich
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin Thursday, March 18, 2013, for the rehabilitation of the bridge (No. 00017) that carries Lockwood Lane over Interstate 95 in the town of Greenwich. 
The project consists of full replacement of the bridge superstructure including a new deck, bridge bearings, parapets, protective fence and sidewalks.  The work also includes substructure repairs involving concrete patching and crack filling at the abutments and piers. 
Lockwood Lane is scheduled to be closed in early April to allow for the start of bridge work.  Lockwood Lane will be closed to through traffic between Pleasant Street and Putnam Avenue.  Leonard Avenue from Pleasant Street to Lockwood Lane will also be closed.  
DOT Project No. 0056-0296 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Co. Inc. of Avon, CT on February 4, 2013, at a cost of $3,055,349.50 and is scheduled to be completed by November 16, 2013.  The project is being administered by the Department of Transportation Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.

DETOUR INFO- Lockwood Lane

Motorists will be detoured via Lockwood Road, Riverside Avenue and Putnam Avenue.

Signs will be installed to provide guidance to motorists during the detour.  The detour is scheduled to be in effect until mid-November 2013
