Pavement Preservation – Route 15 in Milford and Stratford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation's (Department) Office of Engineering is implementing a Pavement Preservation program for the 2014 construction season.
The purpose of this program is to enhance pavement performance by using cost-effective treatments to extend the service life of the existing pavement.  A section of Route 15 in the City of Milford and the Town of Stratford has been identified as a candidate for this program. The Department is developing plans to mill and overlay the bituminous pavement on Route 15 from approximately Exit 53 and extending to Exit 55A for about 1.66 miles.
The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in November, 2013, with construction anticipated to start in spring 2014.  This project will be undertaken with 100% State funds.
It is the Department's policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project's development. It is not anticipated that an informational meeting or a formal public hearing will be held for this project due to the limited nature of the proposed work.
Anyone  interested  in  receiving  information  on  this  project   may  do so  by  contacting Mr. Timothy M. Wilson, Manager of Highway Design, at (860) 594-3189, or by e-mail at Timothy.Wilson@ct.gov.
