Construction activities associated with the addition of operational lanes at various intersections on U.S. Route 1 in Bridgeport between Noble Avenue and Route 127, East Main, will require implementation of daytime detours and lane closures.

DETOUR INFO-

Detour of U.S. Route 1 Westbound - Tuesday, May 28, to Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Goddard Street and then onto the eastbound portion of Route 1 up to Beecher Street where traffic will be shifted back into west bound travel lanes. Eastbound Route 1 will be temporarily divided to accommodate one lane of eastbound and one lane of westbound traffic for the duration of the detour.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

DOT Project No. 0173-0291 was awarded to Laydon Industries, of New Haven, CT on August 20, 2011 and is scheduled to be completed August 31, 2013.
