Nighttime Traffic Loop Installation along SR 628 and US 1 in Old Saybrook

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime traffic loop installation project will be performed on State Route 628 and US 1 in Old Saybrook beginning Monday, August 5, 2013.

      The traffic loop installation project will be performed on SR 628 between US 1 and Route 154 and on US 1 from Route 154 to I-95.  This project is scheduled to occur Monday, August 5, to Thursday, August 8, 2013.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on SR 628 between US 1 and Route 154 and on US 1 from Route 154 to I-95.  State forces and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. (Monday to Thursday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
