Pavement Preservation Project on I-95 Northbound in Branford, Aug. 6-7;
Lane Closures Required
Lane closures will be required during a pavement preservation project on I-95 northbound in Branford on Tuesday August 6, and Wednesday August 7, 2013, at the Exit 54 on and off ramps between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Also, a night closure of the right lane on I-95 Northbound will occur on Tuesday August 6, 2013, between 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work will take place from just north of the Lake Saltonstall Bridge before Exit 53 (Branford Connector) to Exit 54 (Cedar Street) in Branford
The project work includes installation of loop detectors at the I-95 northbound Exit 54 off ramp, and the installation of pavement markings at the gore areas of Exit 53.
DOT Project No. 0014–0183 was awarded on April 24, 2013, to Empire Paving, Inc. from North Haven, CT at a cost of $959,671.82.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
On and off ramps at Exit 54 (Cedar Street) from 9:00am to 3:00pm; and between Lake Saltonstall Bridge to Exit 53 (Branford Connector) from 7:00pm to 6:00am.
Both ramps will remain open to traffic during the work activities. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution while driving through the work zone and obey the posted speed limits.
