Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project along Route 2 in Norwich;

Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 2 in Norwich beginning Sunday, August 11, 2013. Lane closures will be required.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.61 mile segment of Route 2.  The milling is scheduled to occur Sunday, August 11, 2013, to Sunday, August 18, 2013.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, August 19, 2013 to Monday, August 26, 2013.    

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 2 between Lafayette Street to the Route 12 overlap  in Norwich.  Norwich police and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday - Friday). 

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
