Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Stamford; Lane Closures Required

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Stamford through Friday, September 13, 2013.

      The project consists of bridge joint replacement to the I-95 Northbound and Southbound Bridge over Metro-North Railroad and local roads in Stamford

      Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no work Sunday and Monday, September 1-2, 2013.

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Costello Industries.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound between Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue) and Exit 9 (Seaside Avenue) in Stamford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
