Milling and Resurfacing on I-84 EB in East Hartford

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on I-84 eastbound in East Hartford, October 1-2, 2013.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.187 mile segment of I-84 EB in East Hartford. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to be performed Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed Tuesday, October 1, 2013 to Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to

5:00 a.m.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 EB between Exit 55 (Rte. 2 EB), to Exit 56 (Governor St). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
