Milling and Resurfacing along Route 97 in Hampton

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 97 in Hampton beginning August 22, 2013.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.46 mile segment of Route 97 in Hampton.  This project is scheduled to occur August 22-September 24, 2013

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 97 between Route 6 to the Pomfret Town Line in Hampton.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Fridays). 

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
