I-95 Bridge Maintenance in Stamford Continues through August 30

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the ongoing nighttime bridge maintenance on I-95 (northbound & southbound) in Stamford will wrap up August 30, 2013.

      The project consists of bridge joint replacement to the I-95 (northbound & southbound) Bridge over Metro North Railroad and local roads in Stamford.

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2013 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Costello Industries.

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 (northbound) between Exit 7 (Greenwich Avenue) and Exit 9 (Seaside Avenue) in Stamford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to   5:00 a.m. (Sunday - Thursdays).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
