Bridge Maintenance, Route 34 Eastbound in New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 34 Eastbound in New Haven. The project consists of bridge joint repair and crack sealing of the bridge deck on the Route 34 Eastbound Bridge over Brewery Street. This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, May 13, 2013, to the morning of Friday, May 17, 2013.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 34 Eastbound in the vicinity of Exit 3 (I-95 South). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
