Traffic Stoppages Scheduled on I-95 North in New Haven for the Replacement of an Overhead Sign Support on Tuesday, November 20, and Wednesday, November 21, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime traffic stoppages will occur for 20 minute intervals on I-95 North, between the Long Wharf Drive on-ramp (Exit 46) and the I-91 North off-ramp (Exit 48), in New Haven. The closures will occur between the hours of 12 AM and 5 AM Tuesday, November 20, and Wednesday, November 21. The traffic stoppages are necessary to facilitate the installation of an overhead sign support.
All work will occur weather permitting. 
The work in Contract E is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program and includes the reconstruction of the I-95/I-91/Route 34 Interchange. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2016 which finalizes the I-95 Improvement Program and its 7.2 miles of operational, safety and capacity improvements.
