Safety Improvements and Bridge Maintenance on I-95 Between Exit 85 (Bridge Street / U.S. 1) and Exit 89 (Mystic Street / Allyn Street) in the Town of Groton
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a safety improvement and bridge maintenance project on Interstate 95 from the Gold Star Bridge (exit 85) to the Mystic River (Exit 89) in Groton is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, April 2, 2012.
The project consists of the installation of highway illumination, miscellaneous bridge repairs, upgrades to guide rail and traffic signs, repairs to existing concrete median barrier as well as partial pavement reconstruction and the installation of rumble strips.
LANE CLOSURE INFO- Expect temporary lane shifts and/or closures, including shoulder closures during the following periods:

Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Saturday and Sunday – all day

DOT Project No. 0058-0317 was awarded to Cardi Corporation of West Warwick, RI on October 14, 2011 at a cost of $11,189,917.50 and is scheduled to be completed by September 2013.
