Route 15 Southbound Ramp Closures in Trumbull Scheduled For Sunday, August 19, through Friday, August 24, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportations is announcing nighttime ramp closures to allow paving of the Route 15 Interchange 47 (Park Avenue) exit and entrance ramps and the Route 15 Interchange 48 (Route 111) entrance ramp in Trumbull. The closures will occur Sunday, August 19, through Friday, August 24, 2012, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
RAMP CLOSURE AND DETOUR INFO- Pre-warning of ramp closure will be displayed on changeable message boards and detour signs will be in place to assist motorists.
(Interchange 47) Route 15 South Off-Ramp to Park Avenue
Detour Info: Follow Route 15 southbound to Exit 46 (Route 59, Easton Turnpike). At the end of the ramp turn right onto Congress Street, follow it to Route 59 (Easton Turnpike) and then turn right. After crossing the Merritt Parkway, turn left onto Jefferson Street. After 0.1 miles turn left onto the Exit 46 entrance ramp to Route 15 northbound. Follow Route 15 northbound to Exit 47.
(Interchange 47) Park Avenue On-Ramp to Route 15 South
Detour Info: From Park Avenue take the entrance ramp to Route 15 northbound. Follow Route 15 northbound to Exit 48 (Route 111 - Main Street) and at the end of the ramp stay to the left and make a u-turn onto Route 15 southbound.
(Interchange 48) Route 111 (Main Street) On-Ramp to Route 15 South
Detour Info: From Route 111 (Main Street) take the on-ramp to Route 15 northbound. Follow Route 15 northbound to Exit 51 (Nichols Avenue) and at the end of the ramp turn left onto Nichols Avenue. After crossing the Merritt Parkway turn left onto Route 15 southbound.
The work is part of DOT Project Nos. 0050-204/206 and 144-178/180, an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project which is scheduled for completion in October 2012
