Replacement of State-Owned Traffic Signal LED Lamps at Various Locations in Southern and Western Connecticut
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that plans are in development to replace LED lamps  at the end of their serviceable life with new LED lamps at approximately 970 state-owned traffic control signals located at state road intersections in towns in Southern and Western Connecticut.
It is the Department’s policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken and it is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project’s development. If there is adequate interest, an information meeting will be conducted. At this time, it is not anticipated that a formal public hearing will be necessary.
The project is currently scheduled to be advertised May 8, 2013. The project will be funded with 80% federal funds, and 20% state funds.
Anyone interested in requesting information on this project may do so by contacting Ms. Lisa Conroy, Project Manager at (860) 594-2985. Please make reference to Project No. 170-3009.
