The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of work Monday, March 26, 2012, for safety improvements, joint repair, and the replacement of bridge bearings on Bridge No. 00649 carrying I-84 westbound over Route 10 (Queen Street) in Southington.
The project involves the replacement of bridge bearings, field touch up painting, replacement of bridge joints, and miscellaneous repairs to the concrete substructure.
DOT Project No. 0131-0191 was awarded to Arborio Corporation of Cromwell, CT on February 14, 2012 at the cost of $2,490,308.80 and is scheduled to be completed on November 15, 2012.
