Ramp Closure for Building Demolition, I-84 Westbound Exit 48 (Spring Street) in Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a building demolition operation will require the I-84 Westbound Exit 48 (Spring Street) ramp to be closed in Hartford. 
Due to the demolition of a building located at 1–7 Myrtle Street in Hartford, the I-84 Westbound Exit 48 (Spring Street) ramp in Hartford will be closed.  This ramp closure is scheduled for the evening of Monday, May 21, 2012 to the morning of Thursday, May 24, 2012.  
Manafort Brothers, Inc. will be demolishing the building and a Department of Transportation Encroachment permit will authorize the ramp closure.

During the ramp closure, traffic will be detoured to Exit 47 (Sigourney Street).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The regular work schedule for this ramp closure is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Wednesday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
