Pavement Preservation Project on Route 15 in Wallingford Scheduled to Start Monday Night, June 18, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a pavement preservation project in Wallingford on Route 15 from the North Haven town line to the Meriden town line will begin on Monday night, June 18, 2012.
The project consists of milling the existing roadway and placement of an Ultra-Thin Bonded HMA overlay to extend the service life of the existing roadway.  Minor electrical work will occur at the entrance and exit ramps to replace signal controls.
DOT Project No. 0148-0204 was awarded to American Industries at a cost of $2,081,071.50 on May 18, 2012 and is scheduled to be completed in September 2012.

The contractor is planning an aggressive schedule, expecting to work 7-days a week, with the intent of shortening the project duration and impact to the traveling public.

Motorists can expect lane closures Monday thru Sunday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
