Project 92-612 (Bridge 03021) consists of rehabilitating the existing bridge, which is a six span structure comprised of a reinforced concrete deck on steel girders, supported by reinforced concrete piers and abutments. The bridge is in need of rehabilitation due to the poor condition of the bridge superstructure. The current scope consists of repairs to the steel girders, bearing replacements, cleaning and painting steel girders, mill and overlay the bituminous pavement, deck joint replacement, possible deck repairs during the milling operation and miscellaneous minor substructure repairs.
Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2014 assuming acceptance of the project, availability of funding, and receipt of any required right-of-way and environmental permits. The estimated cost of this project is approximately $9 million and is anticipated to be funded with Federal and State funds.
The Public Information Meeting is being held to afford a full opportunity for public participation and to allow open discussion of any views and comments the community may have concerning this proposed project.
