Motorist Reminder: Interstate 84 East Exit 51 Ramp to Interstate 91 North in Hartford To Be Closed Friday, June 1, at 11 p.m. and Continuing Over Weekend Until 5 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a reminder to all motorists that weekend closures of Exit 51 flyover ramp from I-84 East to I-91 North are scheduled for rest of June beginning Friday, June 1, 2012.
Weekend Closures will also occur during the following dates, weather permitting: June 8-10, June 15-17, June 22-24.
Planned Detour: I-84 East Exit 52, right hand exit, to I-91 South for approximately 1.8 miles to Exit 27 (Airport Road), go left on Airport Road for about 0.2 miles to entrance ramp on the right for I-91 north
Motorists are advised that other alternate routes may be available and to plan ahead.
DOT Project No. 0063-0639 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. of Plantsville, CT on December 12, 2012 at a cost of $819,425.00 and is scheduled to be completed by July 2012.
