The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 83 in Glastonbury.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.75 mile segment of Route 83 between the New London Turnpike and Route 94 (Hebron Avenue) in Glastonbury. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, October 15, 2012 to Friday, October 26, 2012.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
