Milling and Resurfacing Project, Route 4 in Farmington and West Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 4 in Farmington and West Hartford. 
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.4 mile segment of Route 4 (Farmington Avenue) between Quarry Road in Farmington and Old Mill Lane in West Hartford.  This project is scheduled to occur Thursday, June 28, 2012 to Thursday, July 12, 2012.  
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2012 Vendor Resurfacing Program. 
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is approximately two days of milling from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Thursday and Friday) starting Thursday, June 28th.  The paving segment of the project is anticipated to occur on the evenings of Thursday, July 5 and Friday, July 6, 2012 (from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.).  The work schedule will resume back to 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012.   
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
