Bridge Maintenance Project, Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15) North and Southbound in Wallingford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on the Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15) North and Southbound in Wallingford.

The project consists of structural steel repairs on the Route 15 bridge over Quinnipiac River. Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 North and Southbound between Exit 63 (Route 22/Hartford Turnpike) and Exit 66 (Route 5) in Wallingford. This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Tuesday, July 31, 2012 to the morning of Thursday, August 9, 2012.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
