The Connecticut Department of Transportation is currently preparing contract plans and specifications for Project No. 0171-0359, the painting of beam ends, steel repairs, and bearing replacements on 18 bridges in various towns/cities.

The bridges are:

-Bridge No. 03148: I-91 Southbound over Route 9 Southbound and Turning Ramp 818, Cromwell

-Bridge No. 02366: Route 2 Westbound and State Route 500-806 over I-84 Eastbound and Turning Ramp 828, East Hartford

-Bridge No. 02369: Route 2 Eastbound and I-84 Turning Ramp 833 over I-84 Ramps 831 and 833,  East Hartford

-Bridge No. 02378: I-84 Turning Ramp 830 and State Route 500 Turning Ramp 805 over I 84 Eastbound and State Route 500, East Hartford

-Bridge No. 01275: State Route 510 (Depot Hill Road) over I-91, Enfield

-Bridge No. 01702: Route 2 Westbound over Quarry Road, Glastonbury

-Bridge No. 01703: Route 2 Eastbound over Quarry Road, Glastonbury

-Bridge No. 01704B : Route 2 Westbound over Roaring Brook, Glastonbury

-Bridge No. 03400A: I-84 Eastbound over Park Street and Parking lot, Hartford

-Bridge No. 01831: I-691 Westbound over I-91, Meriden

-Bridge No. 01837: I-91 Turning Ramp 816 over Route 66 Westbound, Meriden

-Bridge No. 00629: Route 9 Northbound over Route 155, Middletown

-Bridge No. 00630: Route 9 Southbound over Route 155, Middletown

-Bridge No. 04283: I-84 over Willimantic River, Willington

-Bridge No. 03519: Route 9 Southbound over P&W Railroad, Cromwell

-Bridge No. 03520: Route 9 Northbound over P&W Railroad, Cromwell

-Bridge No. 00638: Route 9 over P&W Railroad, Middletown

-Bridge No. 01469D : State Route 598 over CSO Railroad, Hartford

The present schedule indicates that the contract documents will be completed in October 2012 with construction anticipated to start in spring 2013.
