The Connecticut Department of Transportation is Developing Plans to Improve Safety and Traffic Operations on Route 68 at its Intersection with Route 150 in the Town of Wallingford
This project proposes to address safety and operational traffic concerns on this section of Route 68 by making modifications to the traffic signal and lane arrangement to allow the two existing thru lanes across the adjacent bridge (over the Quinnipiac River) to extend through the intersection to match the two thru lanes west of the intersection.  Minor widening of the Route 68 pavement will be required for this improvement.  No changes are proposed to Route 150.
The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in November 2012, with construction anticipated to start in spring 2013.  This project will be undertaken with 80% federal and 20% state funds.
Anyone interested in receiving information on this project may do so by contacting Mr. Timothy M. Wilson, Manager of Highway Design, at (860) 594-3189, or at Internet address timothy.wilson@ct.gov.  Please make reference to Project No. 0148-0202.
