Replacement of Asphaltic Plug Joints on Various Bridge Decks in the Towns of Greenwich, Stamford, Westport, Fairfield, Branford, Hamden and Easton
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge joint replacement project on Interstate 95 From Greenwich to Branford, US Route 1 in the Town of Fairfield, Route 15 in the Town of Hamden, and Route 58 in the Town of Easton is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 15, 2011.
The installations will provide watertight bridge deck joints thereby prolonging the life span of the bridge deck beams and bearings.
The contract was awarded to New England Road, Inc. of Clinton, CT at a cost of $1,811,110.00 on June 27, 2011 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2012.  
Traffic may experience delays as follows:
Interstate 95 NB and SB(Greenwich, Stamford, Westport, Fairfield, and Branford)
Monday –Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.  Friday - Saturday from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. Holiday restrictions in place for the day before and the day after state-observed legal holidays.
Route 1, (Fairfield – Kings Highway)
Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 
Route 15 NB and SB, (Hamden – Circular Avenue to Gilbert Avenue)
Monday –Thursday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.  Friday – Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. Holiday restrictions in place for the day before and the day after state-observed legal holidays.
Route 58, (Easton – Aspetuck River)
Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  and from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. 
Motorists are urged to obey the posted speed limit and to use caution through this and all other construction work zones.
