Repairs to Seawall Damaged During Tropical Storm Irene on Route 154 in the Town of Old Saybrook
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin on or about November 17, 2011 for repairs to an existing seawall which was damaged during Tropical Storm Irene.  The wall is located on Route 154, Maple Avenue, between Atlantic Drive and South Cove Road in Old Saybrook.
The project consists of replacement of backfill materials adjacent to the existing wall and construction of scour protection at the base of the seawall.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Two-way traffic will be maintained with lane shifts on Route 154 with short term lane closures during the day to move material and equipment.  The work will occur during the daytime hours.

DOT Project No. 0105-0206 was awarded to Brunalli Construction Company of Southington CT on November 11, 2011 and is scheduled to be completed in April, 2012.
