Removal of Storm Debris from Connecticut River in the Vicinity of the Bulkeley Bridge in Hartford – Lane Closures Required on I-84 Westbound between Exit 56 (Governor Street Connector) and Exit 51 (I-91 North)

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the removal of storm debris from the Connecticut River in the vicinity of the Bulkeley Bridge will require lane closures on I-84 Westbound between Exit 56 (Governor Street Connector) in East Hartford and Exit 51 (I-91 North) in Hartford. This work is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday evening).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
