Rehabilitation of I-84, Sisson Avenue Interchange Bridges in the City of Hartford 

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime construction work is scheduled to begin on or about Monday May 16, 2011 on I-84 at the Sisson Avenue on and off ramp in the City of Hartford.

The project consists of concrete repair, bridge joint and bearing replacement along with some structural steel repairs and field touch-up painting.

LANE CLOSURE INFO- Be advised that that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. 

Lane closure on I-84 will be Monday through Friday starting May 16, 2011 and from Sunday to Thursday starting June 3, 2011. The allowable hours of work are:

Eastbound: Monday-Thursday 8 pm to 6 am, Friday 8 pm to 9 am, Sunday 8 pm to 6 am

Westbound: Monday-Thursday 8 pm to 6 am, Friday 9 pm to 10 am, Sunday 8 pm to 6 am

No lane closures will be allowed during Memorial Day weekend from 6 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 until midnight on Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

DOT Project No. 0063-622/627/638 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. on December 7, 2009 at a cost of $7,149,219.50 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2011.
