The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime construction work is scheduled to begin on or about Monday May 16, 2011 on I-84 at the
The project consists of concrete repair, bridge joint and bearing replacement along with some structural steel repairs and field touch-up painting.
LANE CLOSURE INFO- Be advised that that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
Lane closure on I-84 will be Monday through Friday starting May 16, 2011 and from Sunday to Thursday starting June 3, 2011. The allowable hours of work are:
Eastbound: Monday-Thursday 8 pm to 6 am, Friday 8 pm to 9 am, Sunday 8 pm to 6 am Westbound: Monday-Thursday 8 pm to 6 am, Friday 9 pm to 10 am, Sunday 8 pm to 6 am
No lane closures will be allowed during Memorial Day weekend from 6 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 until midnight on Tuesday, May 31, 2011.
DOT Project No. 0063-622/627/638 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. on December 7, 2009 at a cost of $7,149,219.50 and is scheduled to be completed in August 2011.
