Project Begins for the Reconstruction of Saybrook Road and Randolph Road in the City of Middletown
The project consists of the reconstruction of Saybrook Road from Windy Hill Drive to the intersection of Randolph Road, and Randolph Road from the intersection of Saybrook Road and Coe Avenue.  The work includes replacement of existing and installation of new storm drainage facilities, full depth reconstruction of pavement, and installation of concrete curbing.  The completed roadways will include two 11 foot travel lanes with 4 foot shoulders for a total width of 30 feet.

The project will be completed in stages and motorists can expect portions of the each roadway to be reduced to alternating one-way traffic between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm., Monday through Friday.  No weekend work or night work is planned at this time. 
DOT Project No. 0082-0294 was awarded to DeRita Construction Co., Inc. on December 23, 2010 at a cost of $1,432,745.20 and is scheduled for completion in September 2012.
