Pavement Preservation Project on Route 6 in Southbury and Woodbury Scheduled to Begin Thursday, August 11, 2011
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities will begin Thursday, August 11, 2011 on Route 6 from Pine Hill Road in Southbury to Route 64 (Sherman Hill road) in Woodbury.

The project consists of the fine milling of the roadway, sealing of cracks, overlay and new painted pavement markings.  There will also be minor traffic signal work at the intersection of Routes 6 and 64.

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

DOT Project No. 0130-0177 was awarded to O&G Industries of Torrington, CT on June 27, 2011 at a cost of $946,248.15 and is scheduled for completion in November 2011.
