Pavement Preservation Project in Development of Route 220 in the Town of Enfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is developing plans to improve a section of Route 220 in the Town of Enfield. The project involves the milling and placement of a two-inch Hot Mix Asphalt overlay on a section of Route 220 approximately between Polomba Drive and Peerless Way, to extend the service life of the existing pavement.

It is the Department’s policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project’s development.  It is not anticipated that an informational meeting or a formal public hearing will be held for this project due to the limited nature of the proposed work.

The present schedule indicates that the design will be completed in February 2012, with construction anticipated to start in late summer 2012.  This project will be undertaken with 100% state funds.

Anyone interested in receiving information on this project may do so by contacting Mr. Timothy M. Wilson, Manager of Highway Design, at (860) 594-3189, or by e-mail at timothy.wilson@ct.gov.  Please make reference to Project No. 48-194.
