Overhead Sign Replacement Work Scheduled For I-91, I-84, Route 6 & 44, Route 2 and Route 11 in the towns of Rocky Hill, Hartford, Bolton and Colchester Beginning Monday night January 17, 2011
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that various lanes will be closed to traffic at night beginning Monday, January 17, 2011 for the replacement of the overhead sign supports.  Lane closures are scheduled for I-91 Southbound at Exit 22S in Rocky Hill, I-84 Westbound before Exit 47 in Hartford, Routes 6 & 44 East & Westbound at Routes 6 & 44 split in Bolton, and Route 2 Eastbound & Route 11 Southbound at Route 11 split at Exit 19 in Colchester.
The work will involve the removal of the overhead sign support and the installation of new sign support systems. The nightly closures are scheduled to be in effect until February 20, 2010.  Traffic may be halted for brief periods during the work.
Lane Closure Schedule
January 17-21, 2011: I-91 South, Rocky Hill --Monday-Friday 7 p.m. - 6 a.m.
January 24-28, 2011: I-84 West, Hartford --Monday-Friday 6 p.m. -  6 a.m.
January 31-Feb 4, 2011: Rte 6 & 44 East & West, Bolton -- Monday-Friday 6 p.m. -  6 a.m.
February 7-11, 2011: Rte 2 East & Rt 11 South, Colchester -- Monday-Friday 6 p.m. -  6 a.m. 
DOT Project No. 0170-2662 is being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).  The contract was awarded to ADF, Industries, Inc. on June 19, 2009, at a value of $4,084,860.00 and is scheduled for completion by July 15, 2011.
