Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 74 (Union Street) in Vernon

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 74 (Union Street) between the end of the Route 83 overlap and Route 31 (Grove Street) in Vernon. This project is expected to occur Thursday, July 28, 2011 to Friday, August 5, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
