Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 2 in North Stonington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 2 in North Stonington between Swantown Road and Route 184. This project is expected to occur on Monday, June 13, 2011 through Thursday, June 30, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday); except starting Monday, June 20, 2011, the hours will change to 3:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
