Milling and Resurfacing on Route 83 in Glastonbury and Manchester

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 83 in Glastonbury and Manchester between Route 94 and Shallowbrook Lane. This project is expected to occur Tuesday, May 24, 2011 through Wednesday, June 8, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. (Monday - Friday). No work will be performed during the Memorial Holiday period (Friday - Monday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
