Milling and Resurfacing on Route 64 in Middlebury and Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 64 between the east junction of Route 188 in Middlebury and I-84 in Waterbury. This project is expected to occur on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 through Wednesday, July 20, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project will begin as 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on July 5, July 6, and July 7, 2011. Starting Monday, July 11, 2011, work will occur from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
