Milling and Resurfacing on Route 5 East Hartford and South Windsor

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 5 between Sterling Road in East Hartford and the I-291 Eastbound exit ramp in South Windsor. This project is expected to occur Tuesday, July 5, 2011 to Monday, August 1, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
