Lane Use Restriction For Trucks, Buses and Trailers on Interstate 95 Between Exits 33 and 34 in Milford and Stratford to Begin Week of December 12, 2011
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that trucks, buses and trailers will be restricted to the right travel lane only on Interstate 95 between Exit 33 (Ferry Boulevard/Route 1) and Exit 34 (Bridgeport Avenue Route 1) in the towns of Stratford and Milford beginning the week of December 12, 2011. This restriction will remain in place for the durtation of construction activity for the replacement of the Moses Wheeler Bridge that carries Interstate 95 over the Housatonic River.
Trucks, buses and trailers are required to comply and regulatory signs are being posted in advance of the restricted area to alert motorists.
In addition to the lane restriction, the I-95 lane widths are reduced to 11 feet and the legal speed limit is reduced to 45 mph between Exits 33 and 34. 
MOTORIST ADVISORY
Traffic laws are being strictly enforced within the project limits during construction activities on the roadway.
