The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a three to four week closure of one of the three lanes on Interstate 95 northbound in the vicinity of Coleman Street (Exit 82A) in New London between October 17, 2011 and November 11, 2011.
I-95 northbound transitions from a two lane highway from the Baldwin Bridge in Old Saybrook to three lanes at the Vauxhall Street overpass in New London where the on ramp to and from Frontage Road area is. The contractor will be allowed to extend the two lane section by keeping the third lane closed an additional three quarters of a mile.
LANE CLOSURE INFO

The lane closure will be in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until November 11, 2011 for the painting of various areas of bridge overpasses and underpasses.  The work is expected to take 3-4 weeks and equipment will be allowed to remain in the closed lane.
