East Rocks Road Bridge over Route 15 in the City of Norwalk will be Reopened to Traffic on Tuesday, November 22, 2011
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that East Rocks Road Bridge over Route 15 in the City of Norwalk will be reopened to traffic on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

The Contractor, New England Road, Inc. will continue to work on the bridge until April 15, 2012, utilizing traffic cones to shift traffic during the allowed work hours. The bridge will continue to remain open to traffic during this time.

The remaining work involves removal of “Low Clearance” warning devices and removal of the existing temporary support system under the bridge structure. During night time hours, the permitted lane closures on Route 15 will be utilized to complete this work.

Speed limits on the Merritt Parkway within the work zone will remain at 45 mph when workers are present.  The speed limit on East Rock Road will be 25 mph when workers are present.
