Crack Sealing - Various Routes Statewide
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a pavement crack sealing project for the Towns of Andover Rte. 6, Avon Rte. 44, Bolton Rte. 6 and 44, Canton Rte. 179, Farmington Rte. 10, Glastonbury Rte. 17, Manchester Rte. 6 and 44, Simsbury Rte. 167, Suffield Rte. 159 is scheduled to begin on or about Sunday May 1, 2011.  The construction project is one of several transportation infrastructure initiatives being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The Contract No. 170-3038 was awarded to Empire Paving, Inc. of North Haven, CT on December 23, 2010 at a cost of $384,086.50 and is scheduled to be completed in July 2011.

Motorists can anticipate lane closures starting May 1, 2011, in the Towns of, Simsbury Rte. 167, Avon Rte. 44, and Farmington Rte. 10.  Motorists can anticipate lane closures starting May 15, 2011, in the Towns of Andover Rte. 6, Bolton Rte. 6 and 44, and Manchester Rte. 6 and 44.  Motorists can anticipate lane closures starting June 1, 2011 in the Towns of Suffield Rte. 159, Canton Rte. 179, and Glastonbury Rte. 17. The allowable hours of work are:

Monday-Friday 

7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.      

Saturday-Sunday

9:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m
