Construction to Resume on I-95 in the Towns of East Lyme, Waterford and New London

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the project for the resurfacing and safety improvements along Interstate 95 from Exit 72 (Rocky Neck Connector) in East Lyme to Exit 83 (Vauxhall Street) in New London is scheduled to restart on or about March 1, 2011.

DOT Project No. 44-151 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. of New Britain, CT on May 13, 2010 at a cost of $16,976,643.85 and is scheduled to be completed in July 2012.

Motorists on I-95 can expect temporary lane shifts and/or closures during the evening hours between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Shoulder closures can also be expected during the daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
