Construction Activities to Resume for The Rehabilitation of U.S. Route 5 over I-91, Bridge No. 00445, in the Town of Enfield
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities for Bridge No. 00445 that carries US Route 5 over I-91 in Enfield will begin on or about Monday, April 18, 2011.

The work will consist of completing Stage 2 of the bridge superstructure over I-91 in the Town of Enfield.

Interstate 91

Monday–Thursday Nights: I-91 North from 8 PM to 6 AM and I-91 South from 7 PM to 6 AM

Monday – Friday Daytime: I-91 North 9 AM to 3 PM and I-91 South 9 AM to 3 PM

Friday Nights: I-91 North from 9 PM to 7 AM Saturday and I-91 South from 8 PM to 8 AM

Route 5

Monday – Friday: 9 AM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 7 AM

DOT Project No. 48-188, consists of the reconstruction of the US Route 5 bridge over I-91 and was awarded to Arborio Corporation, of Cromwell, CT on May 7, 2009, at a cost of $4,675,969.00.  The contract is scheduled for completion in August of 2011.
