Bridge Maintenance in Hartford on I-84 Eastbound between Exit 48 (Capitol Avenue) and Exit 50 (Trumbull Street), and Westbound between Exit 50 (Route 44) and Exit 48 (Spring Street)

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on I-84 in Hartford, Eastbound between Exit 48 (Capitol Avenue) and Exit 50 (Trumbull Street), and Westbound between Exit 50 (Route 44) and Exit 48 (Spring Street). This work is scheduled for Monday, September 19, 2011 to the morning of Friday, October 28, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Thursday evenings). No work will be performed during the Columbus Day holiday period (Friday - Monday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions (alternate may be Friday evenings). Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
