Work Continues on Reconstruction of the Prospect Street and Pearl Street Bridges over Providence and Worcester Railroad in the City of Middletown
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that beginning August 9, 2010 Pearl Street will be closed to thru traffic between Spring Street and Grand Street as work progresses on the reconstruction of Bridge No. 04032 that carries Pearl Street over the Providence & Worcester Railroad in the City of Middletown.
Detour: Traffic will be rerouted using Spring Street, High Street and Grand Street.

Pearl St. Bridge will be reopened on August 27, 2010.  Prospect Street Bridge No. 04031 will remain closed until November 2010.  

This $6,799,628 project was awarded on April 24, 2009 to ROTHA Contracting Company, Inc of Avon, CT and is scheduled for completion November 20, 2010.
