Stairway Closure from the New Haven Bound Track 4 Platform To Monroe Street at the South Norwalk Train Station to Begin on or About March 30, 2010

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the pedestrian stairway from the New Haven bound platform to Monroe Street will be permanently closed on or about March 30, 2010. The stairway will be closed as part of the Monroe Street Bridge reconstruction.

After the stairway is closed, commuters will need to exit from the Station to get to and from Monroe Street. Please allow for extra time to reach the train station and board your train.

This work is part of the ongoing work to replace bridges and catenary on the Metro-North New Haven Line between South Norwalk and Stamford.
