Route 216 in North Stonington Scheduled to Reopen to Traffic
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the roadway detour in place for the project to complete bridge repairs on Route 216 over Green Falls River in Stonington will end August 27, 2010.
Bridge No. 01555 was closed to traffic so that repairs could be completed as a result of the heavy rains and subsequent flooding experienced in late-March 2010.
The contract was awarded to Baier Construction Company, Inc. of Bloomfield , Connecticut
Traffic may experience delays on Route 216 Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. including weekends to complete the balance of the contract work.
