Pavement Marking Project To Begin in the Towns of Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange, West Haven and New Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportations is announcing that work to install new epoxy pavement markings on Route 1 at various intersections in the towns of Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Fairfield, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Orange, West Haven and New Haven will begin the week of July 6, 2010. 
The new pavement markings include crosswalks, stop bars, and pavement arrows on state-owned roadways and at town road approaches to intersections.
Night time lane closures will occur between the hours of 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM in addition to a full closure lasting 15 minutes at times to allow for markings to be installed and dry. 
DOT Project No. 0173-0399 was awarded to Safety Markings, Inc., of Bridgeport, CT on May 4, 2010, at a value of $296,891.45 and is scheduled for completion in September 2010.
